Permission Denied - Advanced Permissions

I tried to use the API to fetch all activities assigned to a particular user, but I’ve got this message “You do not have permissions to do this.”
I searched for the solution and changing my plan to Platinum Account could figure out my problem, but I didn’t find the option to enable “Advanced Permissions” to makes the API works.

Advanced Permissions is a feature we have actually deprecated in lieu of Permission Sets - you should find this available via Settings>Manage Users.

I’m not sure this would solve your issue though - you just want to change the permissions on a particular User or something else?
