I would like to know if I can deactivate a custom field, I wouldn’t like to delete it because I don’t want to lose the database

Thanks for reaching out, unfortunately it’s not possible to deactivate a custom field, depending on what you want to do, perhaps organise your custom fields or hide some, you can use the important fields feature: Important Fields - Knowledge Base

You can access it via the API using the important_flag, you can see it in this example response: Pipedrive API v1 Reference
