How can I export a spreadsheet using the API?

Just as I have the option to go into my deals, click on Everyone, then “export filter results” and finally select a XLS (Excel) file, how can I do the same using the API? How can I get this Excel file from the API?

I know this is years later but i did find old documentation that an AI was trying to reference that referred to “https://pipedrive.com/api/v1/dataExports” but it is not available at all. Any time this subject is brough up then we are pointed to paid affiliate solutions like here: Automated Backup — Pipedrive Community: Connect, Collaborate, Share

From the documentation I saw using the dataExports, you could start the export of any of their data points seen on “…pipedrive.com/settings/export” then after a time you could download the file that was created. I think they are holding it back forcing people to pay for the 3rd party paid affiliates.
