We are currently integrating our online platform to Pipe using API which will in the first stage include automatically assigning new registers from our platform onboarding process to Pipe in order to minimise the time to first contact of the lead. While structuring the integration we came across two questions that I would like to ask you:

For assigning new registers automatically to Pipe we need to first check if there are duplicates in Pipe, in other words if the register already exists (maybe the account manager had contact with the lead previous to the registration which would lead to the user existing in Pipedrive already). The question here, is if you guys have a special way of dealing with this “duplicate search” or how you suggest this to happen.

Since we do not want to touch real data in the testing stages, we would like to know if there is a staging (testing) environment that we can use to test out the commands?
